

Don’t trust the staff at this Red Roof, and don’t go here. Do not trust the front desk/call staff, they will tell you information confidently without either authority or the knowledge to do so, and then Red Roof will act like their staff aren’t duly designated Red Roof representatives. I was still charged for it even though a representative of the company told me they were cancelling it.

Misleading me in a business context and then making no effort to correct my understanding of it before I called back is not acceptable business practices. I do not relinquish myself of the responsibility that I made an error in the booking itself, but once someone on the Red Roof staff tells me they are cancelling the booking, I expect it to be cancelled. Having received no cancellation notice or any message or response back, I called the next day, a different individual picked up and said the person I had talked to did not have authority to do that. I asked if I would receive a cancellation notice after it is cancelled, they told me I would get one shortly, then we ended the call. Staff picks up the phone, I ask them if there is any way I can cancel or get credit or shift the booking around, the staff person tells me that since my card had not been charged yet they can still cancel it, and they said they would cancel it. My issue is that within minutes of noticing my error, I figured it was a long shot but decided to call to see if there was any possibility of cancelling it somehow or getting credit for another visit. I cant blame them for that, that error is on me. Truth on my end is that I made an error in one of their nonrefundable bookings. Either they are not trained enough to give correct information and then make no effort to correct their errors, or they intentionally mislead. …ĭo not trust the front desk staff or the phone staff. But as me and my husband were sleeping in the next day after traveling (we were exhausted ,)head of housekeeping bangs on the door and addresses us by name and tells us we no longer have late checkout and we have to leave and she set a timer for 20 minutes keep in mind we settled in our clothes was out the luggage already we hadn't showered yet so we quickly got up since she gave us no choice and attempted to shower and brush our teeth quickly only for her to keep banging on the door saying to "evacuate immediately" and by that point the hotel was charging us a 25 dollar late checkout fee but they weren't letting us stay late ? We went downstairs talked to the manager and canceled our reservation for the second day stay and put in our complain only for the manager to have a smirk on his face the whole time again didnt get names but it was the Hispanic guy with the bowl cut in the day shift on Saturday I understand the concept of budget hotels and I've stayed at budget hotels before and have never been disrespected how I was today will never be coming back. I cannot express with words how distressed I am right now me and my husband who are traveling for work had no choice but to book the red roof inn+ as it was a busy holiday weekend, the night shift lady at night (sorry didn't get any names) was super sweet and attentive and even got us booked for the second night same room and if we opted to not stay there she granted us a late check out of 1pm shoutout to her she was very helpful and sweet.
